Jungfraubahn Mountain Railway – Grindelwald Cable Car

In 1912, the Jungfraubahn was opened as a pioneering structure amongst mountain railways. It takes passengers from the Kleine Scheidegg mountain pass to the highest train station in Europe (Jungfraujoch). The route is nine kilometres long, seven of which pass through a mountain tunnel. The train crosses the Eiger and Mönch mountains. The Jungfraubahn climbs 1,400 metres in altitude during the 35-minute journey.
